The Grants Committee organizes the grant cycle for the BAPHR Foundation.
Rooted in our mission to advance health equity for LGBTQ+ communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, BAPHR Foundation remains committed to uplifting those who face systemic barriers to care and wellbeing. In a time of increasing uncertainty and shifting public priorities, we recognize the growing need to support organizations that serve our most impacted community members.
This year, we continue to prioritize funding for work focused on LGBTQ+ youth, elders, immigrants, and those experiencing mental health challenges or substance use disorders. We also remain attentive to those whose access to care and safety is being increasingly challenged—particularly individuals at the intersection of multiple vulnerabilities.
Grants will range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are available to nonprofit organizations advancing the health and wellness of LGBTQ+ communities in the Bay Area. The application process will be competitive and all submissions will be reviewed by the full BAPHR Board.
We look forward to supporting the critical work being done in our community.
Eligibility criteria for grant applicants are as follows:
1. Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency.
2. Propose funding for a project directly contributing to the health and wellness of the LGBTQ+ community.
3. Grants will not be awarded for capital campaigns, laboratory research, or individual medical expenses.
4. A maximum of 15% of grant funds may be allocated to administrative costs, including salaries, rent, utilities, and insurance.
5. The application deadline has passed.
